About the editor
Jon Fleetwood is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of JonFleetwood.com.
In June 2024, Fleetwood co-authored a peer-reviewed medical publication in The Gazette of Medical Sciences examining clinical evidence on the safety and efficacy of inhaled budesonide for early and late treatment of COVID-19. The paper was co-authored with Dr. Richard Bartlett, MD, an emergency room director, recipient of the Texas Health and Human Services Meritorious Service Award, and former advisor to Governor Rick Perry’s Health Disparities Task Force.
Fleetwood’s investigative reporting has documented previously undisclosed government research and funding activities, including early reporting on U.S. Department of Agriculture bird-flu gain-of-function and vaccine research, as well as provisions in the 2024 Congressional omnibus bill allocating $1 billion toward preparedness for a future avian influenza pandemic.
He also reported on the administration of a live Ebola vaccine to healthcare workers in Denver, Colorado, amid the construction of a high-containment bat research facility in Fort Collins, raising questions about biosecurity oversight and risk proximity.
Fleetwood previously served as Managing Editor at American Faith, a nonprofit news organization. His reporting and analysis have appeared across a range of national media platforms, including One America News, The Defender (Children’s Health Defense), ZeroHedge, The Bill Martinez Show, The New American, Frank Speech, and The Exposé.
His work has been cited by U.S. Senator Rand Paul, Russell Brand, and Dana Loesch.
His work has been submitted as supporting documentation in legislative and policy contexts, including materials provided to the Ohio Senate in May 2024 and to the Louisiana House of Representatives Select Committee on Homeland Security in September 2024.
In addition to reporting, Fleetwood has contributed to the development of legislative policy templates related to pharmaceutical regulation and treatment access, including proposals addressing mRNA and DNA-based vaccine technologies and over-the-counter availability of inhaled budesonide. These efforts have involved consultation with multiple medical and research professionals.
Editorial approach
JonFleetwood.com focuses on what official documents say, how claims are framed, and what follows from those claims when read carefully. Reporting prioritizes primary sources over press releases and analysis over narrative alignment.
The site is independent, subscriber-supported, and publishes continuously.
