I looked into 5G signals a while ago when the FAA was concerned about how 5G towers near major airports might interfere with radar altimiters on commercial jet aircraft, critical for precision autoland approaches. I learned that 5G towers will "beam form" with 5G receivers, like personal cell phones. This does require a two way communication, so turning off 5G on your phone will prohibit beam forming. This will not affect the speed or performance of the phone. Leaving the 5G turned on will allow that phone to be "targeted" with a stronger beam. This is not conspiracy and can be easily verified.
