It's so infuriating to think of all the taxpayer money that's gone to just his "research". I feel like the people should have more say in where their hard-earned money gets sent, or at least informed. We get no such thing. The whole thing is evil having learned that many of our illnesses have been lab-made, such as Lyme, RSV, HIV and of course Covid-19 to name a few. This needs to end and those responsible need to be held accountable. Those involved have lived long lives while so many of the population have suffered chronic illnesses, injuries and even loss of life.

Great reporting! Baric’s work is an ideal military cover story. So, civilians paid for three decades work on something akin to the common cold and flu… It’s telling that the funding and work progression went to patented technology with a study focus so mundane as a cold or flu: indeed, it sure as F*n H*ll meant nothing in local newspapers or national news reports that a small group of people picked up the first ‘common’ SARS version in one bar/nightclub in Hong Kong, and that was just so unexpectedly deadly that the CDC had officials ready with rapid isolation protocols in a Toronto hospital nearly as fast as club goers could board civilian planes ‘home’. The press package used in news reports at the time, isolated reports about local victims from what is now misportrayed as a global pandemic of natural origins.
Sure, more than three decades ago, Baric and allies worked with bats. His source was ‘natural’ life forms in his lab. In any case, the authorities’ reports featured pre-formulated headlines for above the fold propaganda, to directly blame those Chinese consumers of fresh meat and bats from a Chinese wet market. What was too close to murder, or a war crime, had the Baric brakes and built-in sequencing breaks (engineering distortions) to slow the process, and render the inflammatory factor useful in an injectable form.
Heck, the communication strategies work so well, Fauci et al expected us to blame some guy for MERS because he was exposed to a camel in Egypt.
SARSCoV-2 developments? Just ask for a pardon and plead the 5th.
But who knows or cares in government? We are all living on borrowed time and they have guns to their heads. So, their real payoff? Members of Congress and the Senate with security clearance can front-run money markets on all these ‘American made’ existential threats.

I don't think the average American can handle the truth of this. It was easy to blame a wet market in China, at worst be called racist and blame china. But blame ourselves, not so much. It is why the media and government were so vehement about telling us the story on their terms. And like lemmings to the sea, people followed and still do.

Psychology is used in music, movies, books and all forms of entertainment to cause common people to go along with fighting the wars. Patriotic brainwashing is used in that way. Read about THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE and who came up with that. Now our leaders have joined our government with the Israeli government officially after transferring billions of dollars to Israel. It's all as old as the hills.
What you seem to be doing with articles like this (even if you are unaware of it) is showing that everything that was done was legal. This is the big problem. There are no laws against altering viruses because if there were then it would essentially make the entire vaccine (and possibly the antibiotic) industry illegal since they are two sides to the same coin. The anti-bioweapons laws are flimsy as was recently pointed out to me by another substacker. Now, could a court attempt to fit Baric's and Fauci's behavior (et al) into violations of existing laws? Of course. The courts use motivated reasoning all the time to change federal policy. But I don't think they want to risk it with this situation for obvious reasons.
