Testing of drugs should be 10 years mandatory to determine long term effects. Maybe they could sell the drug earlier but the long term testing should be mandatory. And it should be tested by an independent group with complete transparency and no oversight by the pharma co, so they cant manipulate the data.

Conventional medicine manipulates what we know about it routinely by manipulating the ICD codes. If there is not an ICD code it doesnt exist. That is why it is so difficult to research iatrogenic deaths and injuries. No ICD code for that.
I suggest we adopt India's approach to medicine. Eliminate the monopoly that conventional medicine has. India has three different medical systems that compete - Homeopathic, Ayurvedic and Conventional. All three have regulators, medical schools, hospitals, pharmacies, doctors, etc.. Doctors of all three can see patients in any hospital. As a result India gives their patients choice. They can choose if they want invasive medical care or not. For ayurvedic we would substitute Functional Medicine/Herbal/Chiropractic/Chinese Med/etc. Competition in medical care like anywhere else makes it more affordable with better accountability.
Conventional medicine has essentially had a monopoly in the USA for over 100 years since the Flexner Report.. And for chronic disease it has been a dismal failure. Time to bring the other medical approaches that were exiled to the desert, back into the tent. But with an independent regulatory regime answerable to themselves and the American people. Not to con-med.
Instead Conventional medicine is trying to codify their monopoly even more strongly in Poland, making it illegal for a doctor to practice any "Un-scientific" medicine. Coming to a legislature near you soon, my guess.
