Actually, you can see the jets “dimming” the sky with reflective chemicals, but you are right that they are sometimes so high that you can’t hear the jet engines. However, it is very easy to see the chemtrails “bloom” as they expand and coalesce. The resulting white sky is highly reflective. I live in line with a major airport and am outdoors much of the time. The patterns are easy to distinguish from regular contrails because they spread and persist. I have watched as aircraft “target” rain clouds that are heavy and grey to break up the water drops to smaller mist in an effort to delay rainfall. We are in a time where computer models and Ai allow them to experiment. Research on geoengineering is ongoing and rapidly advancing as they use the research by experiment directly on our sky.

Years ago, the jets did not have those large fans. They were noisier, and the contrails were denser. Why would a “fan” like you describe, make a contrail “last longer” if the contrail is made only of ice crystals and moisture? Please explain the physics of that.
